Project Goal: The main objective of this project was to create a visually appealing, clean, and well-balanced visual highlighting the essential information about the Current Global's Fun Size Ranch PR campaign for Hidden Valley Ranch.

Process: To achieve this goal, I began the project with design research, delving into user experience design principles. Then, I conducted experiments with different fonts, colors, sizes, and shapes of the information elements. Through multiple iterations, I fine-tuned each section to ensure that it effectively captured individual attention and maintained a strong information hierarchy.

Takeaway: This project provided me with valuable insights and skills in creating impactful and informative visuals, with a focus on user experience design. This enables me to craft one sheets and visually dense materials that are award-worthy.

Project Goal: Create a mockup of 37 million needles making up a face in anguish

Process: Initially, when I received this task with only a two-day deadline, I was unsure how to proceed. However, through extensive research, experimentation, and a process of trial and error, I successfully devised a solution by utilizing 3D syringes in conjunction with a depth map depicting a distressed facial expression. This approach allowed me to create the desired visual outcome.

Takeaway: I was able to take this challenge and turn it into a great visual that conveys a campaign idea to clients.

Project Goal: Design Ryan Bank's Academy 2021 Annual Report.

Tool: Indesign

Process: Clean, cohesive and user friendly was my main objective for this project. Ryan Bank’s Academy was a nonprofit school that offered great learning opportunities to students in need. This organization represents a smart, impactful and forward-thinking brand and through my redesign, I wanted to capture this look and feel. By creating strategic and symbolic graphics, using precise ruling and measurements, and making well-thought-out typography choices, I was able to create an interesting yet formal design for Ryan Bank’s Academy. One of my biggest challenges in this project was deciding where and how the information should fit on the page. I wanted each page to feel full, but not busy and I wanted a viewer who would just scan the document, to be able to get the main idea about what information is on each page.

Takeaway: Overall, by taking deep consideration of how the type and information interacted on each page, I was able to communicate the design and feel I had envisioned for a future Ryan Bank's Academy Annual Report.

Project Goal: Design a publication spread that is a commentary on the year 2020

Tools: Adobe Dimension, Illustrator & Photoshop

Background: This is a project I created under the guidance of SPAN studio in Chicago. With a focus on designing through relevance & interest, a technique that helps inform future design decisions, I chose the topic fashion in 2020 because it was very reflective of my own and the rest of the world’s personal journey throughout the pandemic. From “Zoom tops”, the introduction of masks and the huge increase in tie-dye sales, 2020 was an eventful year. In many ways, people looked to fashion, a form of self-expression, as a way to make themselves feel better during these trying times. Through the recognition of these new themes and patterns that emerged, it gives us a good look at the social attitudes during the chaos of 2020.

Process: Throughout this project, I worked on building my skills in 3D typography and modeling, while also including elements of collage and scale in my layout design.

Takeaway: Overall, through the mesh of different colors, eye-catching shapes and the contrast of the flat of the fabric with the 3-dimensional figures, the wide range of design elements I created to capture everything that happened in fashion in 2020, all came together in a seamlessly entertaining visual.
